Registration
We take 32 children per session from two years old to rising five. We generally have one point of entry in September.
Admissions
Linden Leas Pre School welcomes every family in the community. We operate a waiting list system. To ensure a fair opportunity to all children, the following factors are taken into consideration: children whose needs are urgent; date of birth; siblings (Pre School and Hawes Down Infant and Junior); children moving into the area; and date of registration. Parents can choose sessions to meet their individual family needs (depending on availability) however we do require every child to have at least one afternoon session per week.
Policies
Linden Leas’ policies include Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Achieving Positive Behaviour, Safeguarding children and Child Protection, Special Needs, Admissions, Education and Curriculum Planning, Confidentiality and Complaints Procedure. All our policies are available to view at the Pre School. Parents are given copies of key policies within the Welcome Pack that they receive prior to their child starting at our Pre School. Our policies are under constant review to ensure we provide a quality service; they are kept up to date and remain meaningful. Parents are notified when individual policies are being reviewed and are given an opportunity to comment.
Children with special educational needs or health care needs
We are an inclusive setting that welcomes every child. We have lots of experience of caring for children with a wide range of needs including delayed speech and language, global delay and physical disabilities. We work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and attend relevant training so that we can offer the best possible care and support each child to develop to their full potential. We are proactive in seeking early support for children who are showing signs of not meeting expected levels of progress. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your child’s individual needs.
Lunch Club
Parents are required to provide a healthy packed lunch, which will be stored in a refrigerator at Pre School.
